I don't think the comments here are really understanding the meme. The image is based on Cruelty Squad, a game about a hypercapitalistic society. Pyrocynical has a really in depth video with clips from his interview with the developer.

More to the point, it's a game about being an assassin for corporate sanctioned attacks on competitors, where human life is valued in how much their organs sell for on the black market. And then it gets weird.

Liberals while musk and his ilk actively contribute to the deaths of millions, and passively contribute to the deaths of millions more: I sleep
Liberals when some random individual on the internet makes a meme with him in a cartoon crosshairs: real shit laser eyes

You people are a joke, and this shit is never going to end if the most radical you think people should get in literal self defence of humanity, is asking sternly or voting for the other puppet.

MLK's words as relevant as always:

I must make two honest confessions to you, my Christian and Jewish brothers. First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season." Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.

Don't be that moderate, and it's not like anyone is asking you to pick up a gun, so for the sake of the rest of us: sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up.

I'd shoot musk if I had the chance (in minecraft)

[-] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 15 points 1 year ago

Get the squad together to perform some cruelty

[-] rock_hand@lemmy.world 13 points 1 year ago

I’m no Musk fan, but this shit is trash. Not cute or funny at all.

[-] SantaClaus@lemm.ee 9 points 1 year ago

Agree. Memes making fun of the guy are cool, there is enough material to last s lifetime. This is not funny.

When has violence ever been the answer?

[-] bumblebrainbee@lemmy.ml 33 points 1 year ago

When we got union's, when we got LGBT rights, when women got the right to vote, when black people got the right to be seen as equal human beings (its a work in progress), and pretty much any other successful protest around the world. Pick one.

[-] ArchmageAzor@lemmy.world 22 points 1 year ago

Yeah I remember how the RAF dissuaded the Luftwaffe from bombing London by flying up there and giving the German pilots hugs

[-] DeepFriedDresden@kbin.social 14 points 1 year ago

To add onto what @bumblebrainbee said, the American revolution, the French revolution, the Russian revolution, the Haitian revolution. The American Civil War, Arab Spring, the Irish War of Independence. Violence has long been an unfortunately necessary tool to better the lives of oppressed people.

[-] Sentinian@lemmy.one 13 points 1 year ago

Pretty much all of history has shown times of peace and comfort lead to stagnation. Which unfortunately means that violence to some extent has always been part of the answer

You must have not been paying attention in school.
