For your safety.
Why are people still using Chrome? It makes no sense.
My company requires us to at work. I suspect some people get used to it and don’t want to switch.
If you didn’t know anything about it and don’t read any news, it’s decent.
Overall, this seems like a good thing. Think about the majority of people you know, they watch tiktok, they use Messenger, all of Google's products.
I use GrapheneOS, SimpleX Chat, I'm not most people.
There are a million things to bash Google for, this does not seem like one of them. Their security is generally very good, their privacy is non existent.
