The app is missing moderation capabilities, which would been very useful, such as the option to view upvotes, banning users etc.

Boost in general doesn't support admin capabilities super well. It will let me mod things if coming from modmail but for the most part it doesn't believe I'm a mod of anything despite being admin.

I offered a temp admin account to the dev to test it out, offer's still valid :)

You absolutely can ban people from communities via Boost. If you're talking about instance wide banning I don't believe any app has that capability yet and it's limited to the webui.

Viewing votes is limited to server admins and is handled on the webui only afaik if that's what you're talking about. Besides that, Boost has the option to show or hide votes in your profile settings.
