Really throwing stones from a glass house here, aren't they?

[-] Kusimulkku@lemm.ee 33 points 1 week ago

Yes, it's funny calling out that attitude from 4chan but also it's funny that it's posted here

[-] Dkarma@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

It's like watching the browns play the raiders...you kind of just want everyone in the discussion to burn.

[-] Stern@lemmy.world 44 points 1 week ago

Meanwhile on /pol/...

[-] lulztard@reddthat.com 21 points 1 week ago

The thing people who disagree with should die: "Maybe let's not be literal genociding facists."

[-] alcoholicorn@lemmy.ml 27 points 1 week ago

Try posting “Maybe let’s not be literal genociding fascists.” in any city sub discussing homeless people or r/europe discussing roma.

What's the statement being disagreed with? This is just "all political opinions are valid" bullshit. There are some truly horrific political standpoints out there.

[-] spacecadet@lemm.ee 10 points 1 week ago

I got a 30 day suspension from /r/news for calling Antifa “a violent organization”. Got down voted to hell and called a Nazi sympathizer… I’ve only ever voted Democrat.

[-] warbond@lemmy.world 18 points 1 week ago

Is Antifa an actual organization? I thought it was kind of an ad hoc moniker.

[-] spacecadet@lemm.ee 4 points 1 week ago

In guess they have “leaders” in the same way Anonymous has “leaders”. Just like whoever claims it that week

[-] Dkarma@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

So not at all, got it

[-] Saledovil@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 week ago

And antifa can be violent, though it's not really an organization. Wikipedia describes it as a movement. And given the fact that fascists have ruined every country where they took power, violence against them is wholly justified.

I pointed out that Kyle Rittenhouse had multiple people trying to kill him, and was actively running away from all three people he shot.

That went well.

[-] Dkarma@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago

Yeah it's not like decades of school shooter drills ingrained the idea that you attack a random guy waving a gun or anything ...

Second sentence is a clear lie if the first sentence is true. Can't be both a Nazi simp and a Democrat.

I can't tell whether it's the users or engagement baiting bots anymore.

[-] Trollception@sh.itjust.works 1 points 4 days ago

The problem is if you are on one political side of the fence the entire other side is immediately labeled as bots.

[-] hal_5700X@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Anon is not wrong.

[-] JokeDeity@lemm.ee 5 points 1 week ago

4channer likely leaving out the part where it wasn't "everyone who disagrees with me" but actually just "Nazi scum" and he was offended. Nazis love to play the victim card publicly while wishing death on minorities in private.

[-] ngwoo@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Except Reddit bans you if you so much as suggest someone stubs their toe. The rules against "advocating violence" have become so broadly interpreted in the last few years.

Lemmy is significantly more tolerant of this kind of posting

[-] Trollception@sh.itjust.works 1 points 4 days ago

I was banned from my first Lemmy instance for disagreeing with a political statement. In 11 years I never got banned from reddit, go figure.

[-] forgotmylastusername@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 week ago

I taunted a anon about using reddit and the next day my IP range was banned.

[-] JokeDeity@lemm.ee 0 points 1 week ago

ITT Fucking nazi scum.
