I clicked, wanted to make sure I wasn’t being biased and ignoring news I didn’t like…

That article, what little I could get through of it, reads like it was written by a failing high school student, at best.

Unsure if the author is brain dead, the target audience is brain dead, or most likely both.

[-] ExcursionInversion@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

Pretty sure both, wow

[-] Blursty@lemmygrad.ml -4 points 1 year ago

What specifically did you take issue with?

[-] BobaFuttbucker@reddthat.com 6 points 1 year ago

This is an opinion piece, and a very crudely constructed one at that.

The word “news” in the URL does not make this legitimate news.

[-] anolemmi@lemmi.social 3 points 1 year ago

It’s just poorly-worded and written like a late-night tv infomercial. That should be your first clue, whenever the tone of the content is speaking to you like you’re stupid or gullible.

“Does Joe Biden eat children for breakfast?! Wait until you see what we’ve uncovered. EVERYBODY KNOWS Sleepy Joe is hiding something, don’t let him Destroy America and Take Your Freedom!!!”

This is something that just happened in your mind.

WordPress favicon is the sign of a truly reputable article.

I, too, tried to give this a fair read. But, there is nothing in this article except opinionated media bashing and quite stretching “conclusions”.

Move along, trash.

[-] orclev@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

What a load of crap. It's the equivalent of "If the sun suddenly exploded it would be really bad for Biden!". This is almost literally some GQPs wet dream. There are no facts in that "article" just the same conspiratorial ravings that they failed to prove last time, they're just dusting them off now that Hunter is getting raked over the coals to appease the GOP. This will end the same way, yes Hunter committed some crimes that he's already been tried for and found guilty, but no he's not a government employee and Joe had nothing to do with it.

[-] sailingbythelee@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

I'm not getting anything interesting from this article. It doesn't connect any dots.

Is Joe Biden near the end of his political life? Well, yeah, he is very old. I'll be surprised if he makes it through his second term.

Did Hunter Biden benefit from his political connections to get on the board of Burismo? Probably. Is that wrong? Yes, it is wrong in the same way that all rich people and politicians of all stripes find ways to benefit themselves, their friends and relatives, using money and influence.

Was it wrong for America to support the overthrow of the Russian puppet government in Ukraine? No. Was it wrong to advocate to get rid of Viktor Shokin? Seemingly not. Everyone except Russia wanted to get rid of him. Ukrainians seem pretty enthusiastic about shrugging off Russian influence.

So, I'm struggling to see why I should care about Hunter Biden in particular. It seems like a generic case of benefitting from his connections and surname. But who was harmed?

This is a far right conspiracy theory. You can tell because you have nothing to back it up and it only enables and excuses the Unazi States.

So, I’m struggling to see why I should care about Hunter Biden in particular.

They covered up this story to rig your elections. When you thought it was the Russians doing that (tell the truth, you believed that didn't you?) I bet you were pissed off.

[-] NewNewAccount@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Who is “they” that you purport is covering up the stories?

[-] orclev@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

He's a Lemmygrad user, there's no point in debating him. He's just going to keep spouting a bunch of pro-Russia propaganda. It makes me seriously question the source of the article as well. I can't say one way or another if it's part of Russian propaganda, but the fact that a lemmygrad user posted it does suggest it started circulating among consumers of Russian propaganda, so there's some circumstantial evidence at least. At any rate, it's a just an opinion piece and probably shouldn't be posted in this community.

[-] Blursty@lemmygrad.ml -3 points 1 year ago

It's telling that you alt right losers never have anything to counter the truth. Just continue to live in your weirdo bubble of lying to yourself and pretending you believe what you're told.

[-] Blursty@lemmygrad.ml -3 points 1 year ago

The FBI have admitted to it. Zuckerburg has admitted it and implicated twitter in it, and finally the twitter files showed it.

[-] NewNewAccount@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Admitted to what? Showed what?

Provide sources.

[-] Blursty@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 1 year ago

Citations for common knowledge now.

How many sources did you ever manage to provide for Russiagate? Zero, because it was another right wing nutcase conspiracy theory.

Hey FYI, when attempting to sow chaos, you should at least get your left vs right straightened out. It’s kind of a fundamental aspect of US Politics. Be better!

Oh, quick edit, your source sucks. It doesn’t prove what you think it proves.

[-] Blursty@lemmygrad.ml -1 points 1 year ago

get your left vs right straightened out

Are you going to try to tell me that the Dems are on the left or something? Does the concept have no meaning at all to you?

[-] Rapidcreek@reddthat.com 4 points 1 year ago

You mean he'll be indicted with 91 charges? Is that a bad thing now?

[-] Guy_Fieris_Hair@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

What an incoherent pile of mental gymnastics. They are all garbage. Including Trump and Biden. Now fuck off.

If Republicans really want the facts to come out then they can vote for an impeachment inquiry in the house. I wonder why they are not taking that route.
