If its fossilize_replay its doing the necessary shader work on linux and should stop once the shader cache us completed. If not I have no idea

Before the UI overhaul you were able to disable the WebHelper, significantly decreasing RAM usage. I'm also facing the same issue with the vrdashboard process from SteamVR, which is just a Chromium/Electron instance

I wish the gui would have a Rust backend rather than being chrome, using Tauri it would require a lot less resources
