Ofc.

You need to bring these packages to the table:

  • complete surrender
  • return of all stolen land, including Crimea
  • a plan to repair and repay infrastructure
  • a plan to repair and compensate all deaths caused
  • putin and and other key russian criminals delivered to The Hague

That would be good start. Odd thing is, the russian people could do this. Stand up and overthrow your criminal government and work on that list I made. If russians would do such a bold move it would go a loooong way at repairing any standing they might hope to have with the rest of the world.

I have zero illusion or hope russians will dot this and that tells me all I need to know about that country and its people. Ball is their court and they stand idle.

Ehhh, you could say the same thing about the US in a lot of ways (think Iraq invasion). People need something - I don't know what - to actually start an uprising. In either country, if you really try and start an uprising you're going to be crushed. I also think even in history (to my limited knowledge) most coups and the like were one elite overthrowing another, and I don't think the records of it making life better broadly is that inspiring. People are just constrained, and they either need to have nothing to lose (very few people in developed countries) or be extremely ideological. The extremists have trouble garnering enough support to actually do anything though.

So - while I'd love to see more accountability of governments, I'm not at all sure that not overthrowing a government says that much about the people as a whole.

Yea, I was thinking about that and the whole reign of terror thing wasn't great.

What a delusional position. You are literally posting terms of a surrender of Russia when Ukraine is in no position to demand a Russian surrender. Do you have any idea how many of this works? Or are you just a shitposting moralist that believes the world should confirm to your imagination?

Russia is offering to stop pummeling Ukraine in exchange for the security guarantees it needs. Ukraine is going to have to invade and dominate Russia to make the demands you posted here.

Which ultimately means you would rather see more dead Ukrainians than actually negotiate peace.
