I wish more people knew about the Jefferson Bible. It’s a piece of American history that should not be overlooked when talking about religion in the US. The bible was compiled by Thomas Jefferson that extracts the text of Jesus and leaves out the nonsensical fantasy. It’s basically 45 pages of good stuff and sensible teachings.

It’s way better than the po-dunk southern degenerate Catholicism some of my wacko family members follow. You know the kind.

Anyway, great read if you like morals and ethics and treating other well.

You could get a Red Letter Bible and get the same result. For a while I would give them as Christmas presents to religious people I knew.

A. I enjoyed the look of confused when they first leaf thru it and notice how the supposed main guy of the entire book says nearly nothing.

B. Best way to make atheists is to teach people the Bible. Or in this case giving them better study tools.

I'm sure he's learned his lesson and will always check sources more carefully before posting inflammatory material in the future...

We drove to Kansas City MO yesterday from Tennessee. The number of Trump 2020/2024 and Let's Go Brandon flags still flapping in the wind tells me that Josh Hawley know his audience and doesn't really care whether it's right or wrong, but whether people agree with it.

This is the very essence of being on far-right. Facts and truth mean nothing. The only thing that matters is Donald Trump. This portion of the GOP will never back down, never be swayed, never listen to reason and never care about anyone but themselves and Trump. They have made him their identity.

It’s a good thing Twitter was there to take him down. I’m sure he’s learned to be more thoughtful in the future.

“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government - lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”

The ninth amendment just doesn't even exist in conservatism.

That was United Public Workers v. Mitchell, right? Unenumerated rights don't trump enumerated powers? That was the Vinson court. He was nominated by Truman.

Hawley is a christofascist & doesn't care about hypocrisy.

All I know about Jog Hallway is that he jogged down a hallway to escape the Treason Trump neofascist insurrection.
