I did the same thing! Sync is REALLY good and has some different features like the swipe to upvote stuff, etc but I just love the UX on boost. 'specially in compact mode. Reminds me of Old Reddit
I switched to boost too because it reminded me of RIF with some tweaking. Compact mode is the best!
*Dev.
From what I understand, he does it all himself. Which just makes it all the more impressive.
Does anyone know if the source code for Boost available anywhere?
It's closed source sadly.
I am a Boost user myself, even for Reddit, but can anyone tell me what makes Boost better than most other apps? I have never tried other third party software.
The UI was immediately intuitive and uncluttered. I knew exactly what I was doing and what i was looking at. The menu diving was logical and well thought out. I opened the app having never used it and immediately felt like it was an app I had used for years.

This is a telltale sign of fantastic design.
To go a little further into this not only is the design intuitive and friendly by default it also has deep customizability - so if there's something small that bugs you about it there's a very good chance that you can dive into the settings and change it. And if you can't then Reuben is receptive to feature requests.
Boost is the best money I've spent on Reddit or Lemmy ๐
Yeah, I was still on Reddit because the other apps for Lemmy didn't scratch my itch.
I donwload it on release, and so far it's working great. Man, I missed this beautiful customizable interface.
