It's always been this way. This is why talking about policy will always lose to narrativization when populism is in full swing.

It's almost like the Dems we're trying to lose this election.

Orly? Isn't it 'US f*cked'?

Michigan, Wisconsin and Pensylvania voted dumbfuck though? I mean that's the whole problem here isn't it. A pretty well know fact you could say?

[-] Nuke_the_whales@lemmy.world 5 points 14 hours ago

The entire country are dumb fucks. I've never met a knife divisive, fascist, racist and hateful bunch of Democrats than I did this election. You guys all became so damn toxic. The leftists fighting leftists about who is more left, while the fascist walk right through

[-] jaggedrobotpubes@lemmy.world 2 points 7 hours ago

This not smrt take.

"Everyone is stupid except me."

[-] Crampon@lemmy.world 7 points 16 hours ago

Literally no true Scotsman fallacy.

[-] Floey@lemm.ee 32 points 1 day ago

Dividing things by states makes no sense, the only reason it looks like that is because of how the elections work. There is blue and red in every state.

[-] keyez@lemmy.world 12 points 20 hours ago

Reporting in from a county in NC that was 64% voting for Harris 🫡

Except WI, MI, and PA all voted for Trump....

[-] Cethin@lemmy.zip 33 points 1 day ago

And VA did not. This map is pretty bad.

[-] PanArab@lemm.ee 3 points 15 hours ago

This is a 2004 map I think

[-] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Wisconsin didn't vote for Drumph according to the last results. Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Virginia are all wrong on this map.

Virginia voted for Harris. Michigan and Pennsylvania didn't.

Edit: Maryland also seems to be misrepresented, as they, unsurprisingly, voted for Harris.

Colorado and New Mexico are also unfairly lumped in with the red states on this map.

Edit 2: I find the AP map suspect. Not once since Nixon has the country voted this firmly conservative. I smell foul play with electronic voting machines, especially the ones that don't provide a paper receipt. Especially since they openly said they were going to hack the voting machines, and Diebold, a company owned by Dick Cheney, makes those voting machines.

Edit 3: Arm yourselves comrades. Crossbows make less noise firing the bolt than hitting your target that is illegally breaking and entering your domicile.

Cops are nothing more than thugs with badges that allow them to kill with impunity. Harlow v Fitzgerald was decided based on slaver lies, not the actual law.

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/15/us/politics/qualified-immunity-supreme-court.html

The law won't save you now.

Create your local communities, but be careful to ostracize the conservative and neo liberal traitors that will turn you in and destroy your community.

[-] Vorticity@lemmy.world 37 points 1 day ago

Colorado had nothing to do with this. Harris won by well over 10% here. New Mexico too. Get us out of here, please!

[-] njm1314@lemmy.world 81 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Wisconsin Michigan and Pennsylvania all voted red honey

[-] PoopingCough@lemmy.world 47 points 1 day ago

And Virginia went blue

[-] HEXN3T@lemmy.blahaj.zone 86 points 1 day ago

Get Colorado out of there. They're the last state with a level head.

She's our shame but at least we just put abortion rights in our constitution

[-] GBU_28@lemm.ee 30 points 1 day ago

And took old anti gay marriage OUT of the constitution

[-] pyre@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

didn't they also spearhead decriminalization of weed?

[-] Stovetop@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago

For what good that did, when a federal abortion ban is all but guaranteed at this point.

[-] Jakeroxs@sh.itjust.works 14 points 1 day ago
[-] SeducingCamel@lemm.ee 1 points 17 hours ago

This but slightly unironically, I have at least a tiny bit of hope that colorado would fight for its citizens

[-] Jakeroxs@sh.itjust.works 1 points 17 hours ago

I agree, I just find it blatantly obvious that Republicans have been lying about the "states rights" arguments and will flip the script and impose their federal bans if given the chance.

What did Colorado New Mexico do to you?

[-] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

Well, New Mexico is where my Uncle touched my no no square, so that's a bad place to me.

[-] BaroqBard@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Yeah, as a Pennsylvanian, this def needs an update

You couldn't even care enough to label the states correctly. Is this a bot account?

[-] socsa@piefed.social 11 points 1 day ago

The people of Virginia have filed a formal complaint

Get it right

[-] arin@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Sadly America is Dumbfuckistan, and the blue is just in their own little bubble. We really need to realize what we did wrong, and that Harris was not a top pick for liberals, but DNC just wanted to shove her down our throats

In Neal Stephenson's Fall, he describes the area of Ameristan where religious fundamentalists have taken over, and all crucify people for things like polyester/cotton blends or being gay.

So yeah, anyway, if you want a lens into the future...

[-] Kecessa@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 day ago

You gonna have to update that map!

[-] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 14 points 1 day ago

If the Americas wish to leave the Union and become Canadian territories then they do sort of connect

[-] jzzvid@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 day ago

I hate to tell you this, but this was what America has historically been about.
