Eh, the MVs don't really bother me. It's like a minute or 2 at (or near) the start of each episode showing a montage of events. I think what they represent is the pacing messiness you mentioned and that's an issue, but tbh that's been one of my minor criticisms of season 1 as well so it's kind of more of the same in regards to season 2.
Other than that, I really enjoyed the first 3 episodes

And your mention of random music videos has already turned me off of it, and I loved S1.
Was afraid it would be a step down. Still going to watch it, though. Think I might rewatch season 1 first, just to catch up on the story and remember what'd happening.
