I just finished act 1 and was wondering what the community thinks of it. I thought it was good, but a step down from season 1.

The animation is as gorgeous as ever, maybe even better than season 1. The writing and pacing was kind of messy, though. The music was just overzealous too. They have a random music video with cheesy lyrics in each episode now. Just ruined the mood for me a couple of times.

I'm still looking forward to the rest of the season, I hope they can wrap it up without feeling too rushed.

it's still got a lot of potential here. feels like they spent these 3 episodes getting set up for the rest of the seaons, pieces on the chessboard so to speak.

hard to live up to season 1, but I'll def give them the chance

Eh, the MVs don't really bother me. It's like a minute or 2 at (or near) the start of each episode showing a montage of events. I think what they represent is the pacing messiness you mentioned and that's an issue, but tbh that's been one of my minor criticisms of season 1 as well so it's kind of more of the same in regards to season 2.

Other than that, I really enjoyed the first 3 episodes

Didn’t even know it was out.

And your mention of random music videos has already turned me off of it, and I loved S1.

Was afraid it would be a step down. Still going to watch it, though. Think I might rewatch season 1 first, just to catch up on the story and remember what'd happening.
