How many copies of the Hobbit do you have?
I've only visited 3 hotels since I started this.
Don't! You're just wasting paper, they're free and they get replaced for free. Leave the hobbit, most places I've worked at or know prior that work at won't take them unless someone says they lost a book.
I always just took them and threw them away after I left the hotel. Love the hobbit idea though.
