Actually surprised and happy to hear this. I've kind of come to expect that Canada doesn't really take on companies and just let's other countries sort them out...

I should have followed up on this, but I purchased a year of nest whatever it's called for the doorbell camera subscription so it could save the history. There was a great deal that was essentially half price for a year.

Then all of a sudden my nest subscription was cancelled even though I had a month left from my previous subscription. They said there was a problem with the payment. Never had any problems with my card before or after, but this one instance was a problem. Also, the deal I had purchased was no longer available so they wouldn't just let me pay again.

Total bait and switch from Google and I should have followed up with a consumer agency to make them pay for that. I've been very anti-google ever since though.
