A cathartic read on one of our psychopathic premiers. I found the comment that tRump might be good for Trudeau interesting:

As Braid wrote in another column Tuesday, Smith’s biggest fear has to be that her hero, U.S. president-elect Donald Trump, has just handed Trudeau his comeback chance with that 25-per-cent tariff threat. Never mind that once he’s president again Trump still won’t have the authority to arbitrarily impose a tariff higher than 15 per cent, even with his fake national security claims about refugees and fentanyl from Canada.

Of course, that would depend on Trudeau expeditiously cutting a deal with Trump. Since Trump, as Coyne accurately assessed him, is basically a lawless lunatic, that’s probably too much even for the prime minister to hope for.

It's going to be a bloodbath on the prairies. Ain't a good look for ol Danielle, licking trump's boots and all that. Hope it drives the UCP into the ditch for good, and finally kick starts Alberta's transition off of nuttin-but-oil. Don't get me wrong, oils always going to be Alberta's number 1 product, but the UCP really dick punched a lot of tech when they ripped up provincial SRED. Their whole campaign against renewable energy is pretty ass backwards too, and this is when that's really going to shine.

Four years of this shit, here we go. Thanks America.
