I can do a 13 days of horror books highlighting some horror books in !fiction@literature.cafe if there's any interest in that. It seems that making highlight posts made a lot of people engaged and started a lot of conversations. Thoughts? I'm willing to do like daily to weekly themed book highlights. I can even do nonfiction book highlights as well. I have a shit ton of books I know of.

I think this is a good idea. We can have weekly (or whatever frequency) genre based posts. You can maybe highlight a couple of books and invite some conversation regarding the books highlighted and similar books which people may have read and enjoyed. For eg. we can have "fantasy" week, "detective fiction" week, "Victorian literature" week, etc.

Personally, I really liked the spotlight post for banned book week! (And banned books are not specifically something I’m interested in)

If you are up for it, I’d love more spotlight threads, of any theme.

Maybe there could be regional themes. Categorized by region.

ooo thats a good idea! i very much like the idea of highlighting more originally non-english books or books with settings in specific countries

I went through a "worlds best books" list a few years ago and loved it. I read many books I normally wouldn't have. You could focus on specific countries.
