Counsel-search is one of the few swiper commands I haven't yet replaced with a consult equivalent (counsel-keepassxc being the other one). Did anyone know if an equivalent tool exists in the counsel space?

~~Try consult-line.~~

Sorry, has been too long, this is for searching the web?

Yes, it's a nice interface for kicking off web searches, with suggestions etc.

I hacked something like this together a while ago, but never finished/published it;

  • search with consult-web-search
  • type something reasonably fast and eww opens the first match
  • skip through them with C-n and C-p
  • prevent automatically loading each url with C-SPC
  • RET to load it in eww and close consult
