It's one of those things that every year I crave it all year, then it finally comes and I get one and I am always disappointed. Then repeat next year.

The McRib is objectively gross...which doesn't stop me from stuffing my American face-hole with the damn things every time they're available because despite being gross they are tasty.

They used to be a full time menu item but I guess the pork got too expensive so McDonald's will buy pork when it's cheap and stockpile it until they have enough to do another limited time promo with them. Been that way since somewhere in the early / mid 2000s if I remember right.

McRibs were never a full time menu item, and are seasonal at best. I suspect it more has to do with promoting customer interest during the late summer.

Where I live, you can get them all year round.

yeah. they are a staple at least across europe.

from what i heard its availability in the us irregular and possibly based on the pork price.

They can do a valid syllogism, we should trust them on this.

[–] emstuff@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

this isn’t necessarily a valid syllogism depending on how you interpret the first premise you could call it:

All stupid ideas are had by liberals but it could also be

Some stupid ideas are had by liberals

and we don’t know which OP meant. if the latter, an I-A-A syllogism is invalid.

because the language of the first premise is ambiguous, it cannot be definitely stated that the argument posed by anon is valid

Oh yeah, thanks for correcting that!

No, it's so that Norman Osborne will keep buying them and never get bored of them. Just look at what happened when they were taken off the menu!
