Wow, that game brings back so many great memories. I had played the original maniac mansion on the Nintendo. Then after my family got a PC, my dad took me into the city to one of those big box computer stores for some reason. As we quickly walked down an aisle full of games, this box with a tentacle on the cover immediately caught my eye. I hadn't heard any news about this game, but I saw that tentacle and I just knew. And after pleading with my father, I walked out of there with that game, and it blew my little mind.

So random. Just installed ScummVM on my retro gaming handheld and now I'm playing DotT.

I was kinda obsessed with this game as a kid, and played it enough that I memorized every puzzle and solution. I would go through a playthrough in about half an hour. That's still long compared to most speedrunners these days... but isn't it funny how we used to play the same story-driven games over and over even though most of them never had alternate endings?

Great game. And it reminds me of a time when LucasArts pumped these titles out like there was no tomorrow.
