As an Ensign on the Federation flagship, this is one of two episodes I actually enjoy the character in. Wesley was a very competent officer while manning the stardrive.
The other episode is Yesterday's Enterprise, and that Wesley no longer exists.
I honest to god never had a problem with Wesley.
I often wonder what TNG would have been like with Riker as captain and Shelby as first officer.
