Is this community about Jehovah's witnesses?

I didn't know much about them except the door knocking but I tried reconnecting with a friend I hadn't seen for years. Wanted to see his family and eat together. They were being evasive about why. Turns out the mum went hardcore into Jehovah witness stuff and drove the kids apart. None of them speak to her any more. It was really tragic to me.

Yes it is. That kind of tragedy is sadly common with them.

It is yes. Specifically it's for people who are either trying to escape the cult, learn about JWs, or have had their lives impacted by JWs.

That's a good illustration of what it feels like.

I think it can also feel like being born again but not in a good way. I mean having to learn how to think and socialize. I had to work past being angry about missing out on life.

I'm ex-catholic not ex-JW but this is very relatable. It's so weird when Christians try to re-convince me to worry about the threat of hell I've already out grown.

It's like they can't imagine people moving past those fears.
