Rule 1: posts have the following requirements:
Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.
Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed. Sources that have a Low or Very Low factual reporting rating or MBFC Credibility Rating may be removed.
Rule 4: Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, anti-religious, or ableist will be removed. “Ironic” prejudice is just prejudiced.

Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, misinformation, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time.
Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Well, easy solution for that I guess.
It´s corporations so it´s easy. If the profits to be gained are larger than the price to pay, they´ll return. But with Russia willing to attack Europa and corps getting sanctioned, it might not be that profitable.
So don't return?
Good idea threatening people who would want to do business with you, especially when your economy isn't worth investing in even without the threats.
It probably won't stop the likes of McDonald's or Coke from coming back. They smell money and won't be swayed by petty things like threats.
Plus they both play the game. It's not like a little bribery or murder would weigh on their collective minds

Yeah, that price is that no sane economy will invest in Russia as long as they are scum. They have proven that they don't care about contracts, sovereignty, territorial borders and human dignity.

Talking as if Russia isn't going to continue to be sanctioned. Yes I know that's different, but I think the sentiment is fuck Russia and why bother with Russia. Add in any other "price to pay" just furthers why bother.
Eh, the sentiment has always been 'fuck russia', it's a pain. If someone comes up with a good reason to reenter the russian markets and everyone think it's profitable and legal enough to get away with, they'll bring it up at their company and will probably be successful, but a lot of us are very happy we didn't have to worry about that for a few years.
This statement is driving down the perceived profitability though, so probably bought us a bit more time.
There is only so much effort companies can do, they might just continue their focus on other markets.
Anyone who goes back to Russia absolutely deserves to be bent over a barrel and violated by Russia until the end of time.

Oh, no. Russia is feeling stronger than ever now that they’ve captured the largest (yet rapidly fading) superpower. And two buddy-buddy fading nuclear superpowers against the world? It’ll be like the end of Thelma & Louise…except the entire world is dragged over the cliff after them.
This is literally them feeling like they’ve finally got the upper hand after struggling so much after the invasion. They now have the US on their side. So now they’re feeling like a big boy.
Looks like he noticed a bunch of American companies developed a real taste for boot leather recently.

That's not true, lots of companies left, some even at great cost.
Some remained under local names, I think for instance Coco Cola.
We've seen recordings of shopping malls where many shops were gone, and many of the remaining shops sold obvious counterfeit western brands.
Also a lot of business is decidedly illegal to continue in Russia due to sanctions.
You can see almost empty malls across the entire Europe nowadays, not everyone likes that commercial model and sometimes they were built in not very thoroughly evaluated places. They've been even converted to apartments recently
