Lord of the Rings, extended editions. It's amazing how much content was missing from the standard version.

How long was the theatrical cut vs the extended? Have only seen at the cinema

According to Google, the theatrical total running time is 9h 3min, whereas the extended is 11h 36m... So a good 2.5 hours of extra footage over the 3 films.

I'm seeing lots of things I've not seen before.

Yeah it's so good.

Makes me double sad for Game Of Thrones turning out like it did, and triple sad for Wheel Of Time which was/is so bad I can't even read the books anymore. And I loved that series way more than LOTR.
