I highly recommend the Star Trek franchise.
It's a high concept fantasy that follows a highly fictionalized version of humanity in the future that actually embodies all the benevolent traits that actual humanity lies about having in between fucking one another over.
Spoilers: Actual humanity make a recurring cameo! They're called the "Ferengi" for some reason though.
Easy thing to fix, just look at this cheat sheet:
Riker = Horny, trombonist, scolds you for believing fake stories
Picard = Likes tea, traumatized by patio lights
Janeway = Murderous criminal
Sisko = The cooler murderous criminal
O'Brien=most powerful man in the universe, suffers
Garak=simple tailor

Edit: I would say that Riker is hornier than Kirk, but Kirk contemplated fucking a Horta (in one of the books). I'm pretty sure Riker never thought about trying to fuck a Sapient Lava Slug.

I just silenced these subs(is it called a sub? I'm new). I don't have anything against, I just felt like I wasn't the right audience. I watched some of the old school series, it was fun mostly, just never got really into.
