I fell for her pretty hard, I don't even mind that we all share but I get Saturday nights.

[–] cmgvd3lw@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 1 week ago

Has anyone had a chat with her?

Remarkably pedestrian photo for a scam. And 29yo seems old for a fantasy girl too.

I guess they understand that it’s older guys who have the money, and even those guys know they’ll never make it with an 18yo.

I’ve gotten this message on my mastodon account twice, from different instances/accounts. Blocked them all.

I got this message yesterday and checked out the matrix server. It was a bunch of anime profiles spewing racist nonsense. Reminded me of 4chan with the vibes. Not for me.

Can I ask why you bothered to check it out? Doesn't that just encourage this behavior? If no one clicked the links people wouldn't do this.

[–] meekah@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Yeah, fair point. In retrospect I don't really know why I checked it out. I guess my curiosity got the better of me

[–] Doctor_Satan@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Yeah I got that same message. I think I deleted it because it's no longer in my inbox.

What would it mean to fall for it?
Are the links themselves dangerous?
