And all the good little fascists praise him for it.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

They praise him for this. And are oddly quiet on Israel.

We've always been friends with Westasia.

[–] DogWater@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Double plus good reference.

I'm happy Europe is looking to bolster military in the wake of us shitting the NATO bed but it just....fits too well into the story lol

I’d almost think our equivalent to 1984’s “reduced vocabulary” is the question of “Are you left wing or right wing?”

Coming to the forefront as we champion the statistic that, when talking about policies past outrage headlines, a lot of Americans agree on major issues.

[–] DogWater@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

Yeah it's purely a difference in critical thinking.

one side listens to what their partisan news and party leaders tell them to hate without question because it's a cult

The other doesn't view politics that way.

It's remarkable how much common ground is under all the bullshit. I know because my wife constantly tells me how silly it is every time someone in her job wants to talk politics. They are mostly trumpers and every time they come away going oh I thought it was kids shitting in litter boxes in schools and oh well I hate rich people telling me what to do.

Like bro. Duh. We are on the same side

[–] jaybone@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

Or well, something like that.

Thank gods for that underlining or I wouldn’t have known what part of those three sentences was important.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

And the whole thing is just such a shocking revelation no one was aware of.

Fork over your country's minerals and we are maybe going to help you, maybe.

[–] madjo@feddit.nl 7 points 3 months ago

We've known this since before 2016!

Wait… there are people that didn’t know this was a thing? I get that the Non-Voting Party pretty much ignored the war crimes committed by Russia in favor of accusing everyone and their mother of supporting genocide in Palestine just to influence an election…

But that doesn’t mean they weren’t aware it was happening.

Who else exists that one might mistakenly think didn’t know this was going to happen? I’m genuinely curious as this seems to be created to generate anger and shock.

If you wade into MAGAland you'll be surprised.

Wait… there are people that didn’t know this was a thing?

Looking at what US military is doing to me honestly it sound laughable to believe that their ceo is the puppet of a country 10 times weaker.

[–] index@sh.itjust.works 0 points 3 months ago

Looking at what US military is doing to me honestly it sound

Forgot a comma: looking at what US military is doing, to me honestly it sound

That said these are my tax money and having planes flying in circle over your house may be quite loud for people living there.

[–] civil_drive@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

The mental gymnastics needed to keep supporting this lunatic are staggering. His supporters are truly hopelessly lost.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

It's true, but it has not changed at all despite everything.

We're in the stage now where people think it can be stopped or maybe some of his voters will "wake up".

They will not. It can not - not with our corrupted corporate news sewers and fascist social media.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 3 months ago
