Once again, Gen X left out of the conversation when they still make up a large percentage of the workforce lol.

Being a millennial in the workplace right now is giving me whiplash. Boomers are essentially the old guard and their ways of running business are going the way of the dodo, though I was brought up in that climate and sort of got used to it. While work environments had a tendency to be toxic, I did find some merits in their approach.

Gen Z is almost like the polar opposite reaction to boomer workplace culture. While I think going away from that is a good thing, I also think there have been overcorrections. The culture clash is noticeable and the fact that the old guard seems to be ignoring it only adds to the challenge.

Boomers are in their 70s and 80s now. How do they even have Gen Z coworkers?

While 45% of baby boomers have no problems working with different generations, only 17% of Gen Z feels the same way

Much of the strife that Gen Z feels is likely due to another workplace trend: the missing manager.

While 49% of Gen Z want better communication and teamwork training, only 27% of boomers think there’s a problem. And while 37% of millennials say there’s a fundamental clash in generational values at work, only 27% of boomers feel the same way.

'Or maybe the boomers are out of touch? No, that can't be it. Everyone else is wrong'

This obviously was created with a boomer slant.

Boomer: Walks into millennial’s office to ask how to convert a PDF
Boomer 3 minutes later: Ranting in dog whistles and neocon talking points about how the younger generations are too entitled

Millennial internally: “This boomer is getting paid 17x more than me, owns four summer lakehouses, and hasn’t properly tipped a waiter in 45 years…”
Millennial externally: 😐

Boomer: “Anyways, nice chat!”

You fucking wish it was just pdfs. I work with people who have been using a PC to do their jobs for literal decades and can a barely turn one on.

they are the replacement boomers, since the real boomers should be mostly retired

gotta keep the flame of nonsensical generational hate burning

Good. Keep us out of all this shit. Let them bicker so I can smoke weed and grow my garden in peace. At least until I have to go fight the Americans.

They've basically been absorbed into the "Boomer" label at this point.
