Hey everyone,

I ran into a little knowledge issue and Google is not helpful today....(or i am too stupid)

I'm planning to upgrade my NAS (Synology DS923+) with a proprietary 10G NIC (Synology E10G22-T1-Mini). That NIC is only available with an RJ45 port .My USW (Unifi USW-Pro-24) doesn't have any regular 10G switch ports. Only regular 1G ports and SFP+ ports.

Is it possible to use a SFP+ 10G RJ45 transceiver (FS SFP+10G T #74680) in my USW and connect that by RJ45 CAT 6a/7a copper cable directly to the 10G NIC on my NAS?

Yep. RJ45 vs. SFP+ is mostly just a Layer 1 difference, so everything layer 2 and above will basically work the same*

*Always leave room for a little bit of funkyness
