Be fine with me if they were used as nothing but fancy receipts. It could be used as an ownership model for digital content, but that hasn't been built yet afaik.

Honestly? Coins and cash are good examples of fungible tokens. The deeds to a property are a good example of a non-fungible token. We've been using them for years without dickhead cryptobros being involved.
