I like citrusy and hoppy with clean crisp taste. I used to get the Green Flash West Coast IPA around 2017 from Trader Joe’s.
It was my introduction to the American IPA, and I fell in love with it. It was perfect to drink by itself without feeling bloated, and it was great to pair with food. Unfortunately they rebranded and changed the recipe and Trader Joe’s stopped carrying it.
I’ve been searching for a replacement ever since. I haven’t found many that are similar. I tried Sierra Nevada Electric Torpedo West Coast IPA tonight, and it was reminiscent of the Green Flash’s. I figured I’d ask beer experts for recommendations. Anyone have recommendations?
I’m not a big fan of Lagunitas’ selection of IPA’s as they taste stout to me.
I wish there’s an app similar to Vivivo. BeerAdvocate and Untapped are woefully lacking in terms of suggesting similar flavor profiles.
