That's the neat part, you don't... have to choose. You can be on both! A set of linked alts is a very responsible way to use the fediverse; that way if an instance has downtime you have continuous identity.

Most people complain that many accounts / not knowing where they should create them is the main obstacle to adoption. Creating even more seems worse
For now if you use Voyager, youβll need to stick with Lemmy. But since itβs all federated it doesnβt much matter.
If you use Mlem can you do both?
