I 🏴☠️ all my movies and TV shows directly into my jellyfin media directory, it finds all the meta data and gives me a UI that the most tech illiterate people feel comfortable using. I also store some audio books and youtube videos I've downloaded. I personally would not use it if I did not have movies/tv shows downloaded.
Radarr for movies, Sonarr for TV shows, Lidarr for music and Prowlarr to aggregate torrent/usenet sources and sync to the other arr apps. oh and overseerr to request movies/tv (even if it's just for yourself... it's a nicer interface and has better recommendations than the arrs)
Here's an idea, check out ytdl-sub: https://github.com/jmbannon/ytdl-sub
You can set it to track a YouTube channel and it will download videos and set up nice collections for you in Jellyfin, which you'll never lose again and can watch without ads.
Wow fantastic idea, I'll check it out. Thanks!
I've looked at this and it's very complicated at least to me. I can't make sense of how to use it with jellyfin. I'll keep trying to figure it out. Instructions are very good. Thanks again!
I just recently saw this pop up in my feeds. Gonna give it a go when I get a chance. Looks very cool!
