Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

What would you do if you won a million on the lottery?

[–] hildegarde@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

Put it some boring and reliable investment, and just have the interest supplement my income for life.

I'm a little disappointed that I've become so boring, old, and senile in my late youth, but also its good I'm content enough in my place right now to not want to use the money for some major change.

An extra $10-20k per year from interest and a massive emergency fund is plenty thx.

Just realised I never posed a question! What would you do if you were offered a job in Japan?

[–] hildegarde@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

I read the description as an or rather than a requirement, hence why I didn't ask a question.

I would probably accept that job. I doubt I would have applied otherwise. Been wanting to move to another country. Japan is not where I had in mind, but I'll take it.

Because I'm derivative, what country(ies), that could offer you a well paying job, would you turn down if offered?

Yes it's np. I'd turn any country down it doesn't interest me. I know that's boring!

What would you do if you found a talking dog?

[–] hildegarde@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 9 minutes ago

Be shy and say nothing because I assume the talking dog must be annoyed by being asked the same questions over and over again.

I'd much rather be able to talk to birds or rabbits. They're so skittished and fearful I want to be able to assure them I'm not dangerous in a way they can understand.

What would you do if you met yourself from a parallel universe?

That's an excellent idea! You've given yourself a reliable extra wedge of money each year and you're making it work for you

Pay the least taxes as possible, put whatever I actually get into a ratio of index mutual funds, probably 33% into the American stock market, 33% into a mutual fund indexed on the international market, and then 33% in bonds?

Then, retire and live off the interest generated by the index funds - $1 mil is enough for me to to do that.

What would you do if you became famous?

[–] bacon_pdp@lemmy.world 4 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Cosmetic surgery, move and name change.

What would you do if everyone swapped genders every other year on their birthday?

That's an interesting question! I think the world would learn a lot from it, but it would cause a lot of misery.

What would you do if you were offered a CEO role?
