Just always check the answers."

Exactly my experience. I don't understand people who go to chatgpt first.

Except that traditional Google search is often filled with AI-generated sites without any value. I use DDG and if that fails it's simple to use their 'bangs' to try other engines.

Yup, LLMs are a backup if traditional search fails. A well researched blog post is way better than whatever the LLM cobbles together, though the LLM is often better than nothing.
