He and Acton jumped on implementing anti-Covid measures early in the pandemic, and Ohio was a leader in managing the pandemic until the ghouls in the state congress put a stop to it. Someone even made an animated opening theme for his daily press conferences. I don't like a lot of his other positions (anti-abortion, anti-LGBTQ, anti-marijuana) but he earned some respect from me for how he tried to handle Covid. He at least gave a shit.

He's been in close communication and cooperation with Kentucky's Governor Andy Beshear since day 1 of the pandemic.

By no means is he a great governor, but he's by far the best Republican left.
