Some fun facts about alkaline batteries:

  1. They are technically rechargeable. Not very often and their capacity deteriorates quickly, but there are specialized alkaline chargers that allow you to recharge them a couple of times.
  2. You can tell whether they're full or empty if you drop them on a hard surface. Empty ones will bounce slightly and make a "brrrt" sound, while full ones will stop immediately and make more of a "tock" sound.

Don't think it's a good idea to apply blunt force to a battery, but neat

You're only supposed to drop it from an inch or so. Just enough so you can tell whether it bounces or not.

Everyone knows rayovac only exists to pull votes away from Energizer. You're pretty much just supporting Duracell.

dollar store crud is better than actual rayovac-branded batteries.

I've got 4 reachargeable rayovac batteries that've been going strong for like 4 years now 🤷

And that’s why you’re working so hard to end the electoral college, yes?

. . . that’s why you’re working so hard to end the electoral college?

Do you mean electrical college

[-] rockSlayer@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

The electoral college is only part of the problem, and national problems cannot be solved by any individual.
