My Republican run state is having a property insurance crisis because severe weather events caused by ~~climate change~~ nothing in particular are causing property insurance carriers to either stop offering policies here or jack their premiums way up for worse coverage.
Hell, our state Farm Bureau chapter is trying to demutualize so they can merge with another carrier in order to avoid bankruptcy due to the sheer volume of storm damage claims they've had to pay out over the last few years. 10 years ago the had some of the best rates around. Now they're not even competitive.
The GOP can deny the existence of climate change until they're blue in the face. They can't deny the consequences of it, which will just steadily continue to worsen.
Naturally, as fascist regimes roll, when measurable statistics don't align with your bullshit, eliminate the statistics.
