What? 🤨
My understanding is that they are getting targeted ads related to pets, making the grieving process more difficult.
I'm guessing there was supposed to be a targeted ad for pet supplies as a picture to go with this?
I feel for OP and the targeted ads that presumably led to this post. I also used to have a cat, though I need no reminding of that fact as I think of him daily. But this was jarring to read at 530am out of the blue. So OP is the asshole in my personal book. This could have been broached in a way that avoids re-traumatizing others.
Same with our guinea pigs 🐹 they all passed away in the last 5 months, the last of them was in perfect health and died of loneliness essentially after losing his herd. Getting some great Black Friday deals now though....
If it's something that you fancy, you could buy something small for a guinea pig rescue. Small animal rescues get less donations and adoptions but they work really hard. Maybe you can even volunteer with all your guinea pig knowledge from yours?
Targeted ads suck most of the time. Try Privacy Badger if you're not already using it, and take every opportunity to opt-out of unnecessary data collection and targetting.
I hope your pet is living his best life at its new home, and wish you're able to get a pet soon.
I used to have a mom with 16 cats. Down to 6 cats now, and just got reminded that she didn't get to watch Avatar 2.
