Hello! I'm trying to setup a little home lab using my Raspberry Pi but I don't wanna mess up the safety of my home network. I mean, mainly I want to serve web applications using Apache or Nginx so i don't have to depend on Google Cloud or AWS.

I'd love to read some good security advices so I can open my rasp to the internet safely. I'm a software developer so i don't really know that much about networking or cybersecurity.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Put anything you don't trust into their own VLAN. For me that includes the kids pc and iot devices. Give them only internet access with no access to other internal networks.
