Cats'll chew and eat random shit too, but you'll never catch them when attempting to get whatever they have out of their mouth since they're way faster and more agile than a dog.
You've never had a gremlin cat cause I've definitely had cats try to run off with random shit in their mouth
The safety precautions I've put in place to save my hair ties are what I'd expect if I had a toddler
Back when I used to let my cat outside I had to do this move with a live hummingbird she had caught (it was unharmed)
Omg I thought I was the only one. It took them three attempts to get to unharmed, and two to get to alive tho
