Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

Had a dentist appointment. They found some issues. Insurance partially covered the addressing of two of those issues. The third ones has been unaddressed for 1.5 months. Now my tooth hurts, but I am so close to when my insurance will renew. But it hurts. And it I wait I could lose my tooth.

I deserve better but I have no recourse. Life is an endless series of pit traps and falling into any of them decreases one's ability to avoid falling into the next. Suffering is not met with sympathy, only with with derision or deliberate apathy. We live in hell and I'm not meant to be here.

Previous employer was a great role, but awful to work for and a really nasty culture. I got a really nasty email from management and with that, I was done.

Good for you! There's no reason you should have to put up with that kind of work environment and sometimes management acts like people don't have the guts to leave.

Fil has 'accidentally' planned a family gathering on my birthday.

It's not the first time

Jesus, that has to be deliberate.

Oh this is the fun part: the gathering in question is my mils 70th birthday gathering

In whoop whoop, 8 hours drive away. (They literally live a five min drive from us) On the weekend "oh you can only stay one night if you like" aye cheers mate. My birthday is the sat. So i spend it in a car regardless.

The kicker: her birthday isn't the 6th. It's the 23rd. But "oh kids are going to be on international trips so let's do this date instead"

So now i'm absolutely fucking my birthday - and actually being able to see my sister who lives some distance away and has small children given it's actually a weekend or i'm blowing off the milestone birthday and "making" husband miss his mother's milestone b'day because he won't leave me alone for obvious reasons.

Absolute dog cunt move

Ugh what a crappy choice to have to make. Your FIL sounds like an absolute jerk. If I were you I'd be inclined to blow it off but you just know you'll be the 'bad guy' if you do!

[–] Taleya@aussie.zone 5 points 1 month ago

Oh but he has no ideeaaa why this would upset someone!

And it's like dude i'm fucking autistic and know that. Come the fuck on.

Tell everyone every 10 seconds that it's actually your birthday. Like if they some one says "happy birthday" say "thanks, ooh wait did you not mean me? Since I'm actually the only one here who's birthday it is haha". If you're annoying enough he won't do it again.

A doctor I had interrupted me to say “no you don’t have that symptom” when I was explaining why I came in. I wasn’t giving a self diagnosis, just an explanation of my experience. The next day I switched to another doctor at the office who took me seriously.

Oh ffs that's ridiculous 🙄 You're there to tell them your symptoms, they're there to say what they mean
