I think.i made a rookie mistake, I got two ex3300, I borrowed a dac from a friend.and tested.all 10g ports work (when dac plug in the web interface shows the port is green up), so I returned the canle and went to buy some used finisar cable myself.

Fast forward, I received my cable today and none of the ports works anymore. I was frustrated and about to contact the seller, but just reread the description it says AOC cable, so I never thought there are two types of cables look exactly the same but the AOC cable apparently doesn't work with my switch and NIC.

I googled for a while but I read somewhere it says the AOC and DAC is interchangeable, I am just so confused, do I need to configure anything to make the AOC cable work? Or I have to buy DAC cable

AOC and DAC are very different under the hood. AOC (Active Optical Cable) requires additional power for the electric and optical conversion. DAC is passive copper and doesn't require any additional power. (there are also active dac cables that have longer reach). The Ex3300 hardware compatibility page doesn't list any AOC as compatible, so you'll probably need to purchase some DAC cables. I'd go with the same part number your friend let you borrow since you know those work.
