Who the fuck is still eating at McDonald's? I mean, obviously a lot of people, but why? It's not good and it's not cheap. Maybe food deserts? I can get a better burger and fries and drink from a local place cheaper and faster (if I still bought meat, anyway)

There was a leak of all of the original McDonalds recipies a while ago called the McMenu.

They use a process in their burgers calling "Q"ing, where they let everything in the burger get to the same tempurature.

You know what I look for in a burger? Warm lettuce and a lukewarm patty.

Around half of US adults apparently 🤢

[–] Sir_Kevin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 hour ago

I've been wondering this for most of my life. That shit is barely even food.

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 4 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

Have you seen the prices on adult meals?

[–] Asafum@lemmy.world 1 points 14 minutes ago

Even grimace there is like "wtf is this shit?!"

[–] Joeffect@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Does this turn into what's your local price... or maybe ai pricing now a days...

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 1 points 54 minutes ago (1 children)

Maybe a difference between the McDonalds app and GrubHub?

[–] Joeffect@lemmy.world 1 points 12 minutes ago

Shitty tactics all around for delivery apps... let's charge more plus add-on fees after fees...

For us it’s the amount of food. It’s less and I don’t need a Big Mac or even a full sized hamburger.

and to opt for smaller portions

that's the part I fall under

[–] venusaur@lemmy.world 9 points 6 hours ago

Come on. They can just admit they want the toy.

[–] ShyCake@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Sometimes it was definitly the best deal. But other times my partner and I started ordering 2 happy meals each so outrlittle one could get more toys.

[–] frongt@lemmy.zip 2 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

I'm pretty sure you can just buy the toys

[–] Joeffect@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago

You can, but it's priced so you just want to buy the happy meal anyway... I got an extra during the mini McDonald's they had recently and it was 4 maybe 3 bucks for just the toy

[–] DearMoogle@lemmy.today 5 points 6 hours ago

Sometimes I order an appetizer and/or straight sides at a restaurant too lol. Not at a fancy one of course

[–] imsufferableninja@sh.itjust.works 6 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

I get kids meals sometimes because the combo meals are too much food

[–] aislopmukbang@sh.itjust.works 2 points 4 hours ago

[–] tehWrapper@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago
