I'm salty (and maybe also incredibly entitled) that I never got anything free for turning on auto-renewal and I keep seeing these stands giving away free cooler bags for doing so. Can I turn off auto renewal periodically just to get a freebie or are accounts flagged so people don't do that? I tried asking once and they said if it's already on, you get nothing.

If you're willing to let your membership expire, turn off auto renewal, let it expire, and see if they try to win you back. You might get freebies. You might get nothing. But it's pretty much your only shot at getting a freebie at this stage.

I got a coupon for like $5 or $10 off bakery items for turning it off. When I did it, the guy told me I could turn it off any time, and implied that I could turn it on again the next time they are doing freebies.
