There is hardly any option that's not Google or Apple. At least the brown tongue Tim Cook (from all the Trump ass licking) isn't Google, the bigger evil. The day I have a viable option, is the day I'll throw Apple in the garbage.

How about letting people split tunnel VPN without an MDM on the iPhone?
What in the world is this use case for
People who want to use a VPN tunnel to access resources in a private network, but browse the rest of the internet freely without all the traffic being forced one way or the other.
Think of a pipe with a Y-junction in it.
that's a limitation of the vpn software you're using, not of iOS. this has always been possible with openvpn, wireguard, tailscale, and the native IKEv2/IPSec/L2TP if they are configured correctly
