This week has flown by. Been super busy at work. Miniest got accepted into her choice of secondary school! (Big yay). She's also being allowed on her first school camp ever 😳Mr P got himself some new false teeth and now has to get used to them. Have been watching one of my personal favourite online communities (Imgur) become enshittified and have been looking for an alternative. There's just nothing quite like it out there, and I had my little community there, but now everyone is scattering. Fuck you medialab ai.

Made it down the beach last night. Ended up building the 'puter. No mishaps. Certainly the fastest thing I've ever used.

Ended up going w/ win 11 ltsc. So far so good. No bunch of useless shit on there straight out of the gates.

And it's quiet even at load. Can hear the second hand of the clock in the other room when it's idle lol.

Only hitting 50c after an hour of prime95 which is wild. Obviously didn't bugger the thermal paste.

Now have to reinstall all the audio things which takes for ever.

Bewildered that the local pub was booked out at 6pm today. It may be a Friday but I thought it would be like most pubs where they're dead that early on. Good thing I called ahead to confirm or we'd be turned away.

The kids came home from childcare the other day asking if they could go to the pub because they asked their nana what the building was. I thought we'd just be able to rock up but I guess not

I’m entirely ready for the weekend, but Friday keeps getting in the way

Last night, I woke up after only four hours of sleep, and then an hour later, dog started vomiting whole pieces of his food. Then I started to fall asleep, and had a nightmare that I was being held at gunpoint. Really great sleep. I have to give a presentation today. I think the lack of sleep was some kind of subconscious stress or the decaf English Breakfast tea I accidentally drank before bed.
