Speaking from my own experience, having union protections but the leniency of 1099 contracting seems great - but I don't want to make assumptions.

Seems like good they can be unions but still gonna get screwed because they aren't classified employees
So what's the point then? Sounds like union in name only
I guess it's a small win and the win they could get. Hopefully it's a starting point and not the end.
Being contracted seems more important than the union part
