Yeah, I would expect them to be on the right side of this issue after that last time...
and/or just be racist against arabs or muslims. The UN declaration of universal human rights has turned out to be lip service.
Germany needs to quit this insane protection from Israel, I get the national guilt, but this is just setting them up for being even more complicit!

If it's just Germany doing this, maybe it is high time to dump it out of the union?

Why is Israel in quotes (“Israel”) for the whole article?
Because it's not a legitimate state. It signifies that they're using the western name for it as a shorthand for what is an illegitimate settler colony not recognized by a lot of countries in West Asia.
