Our Rules:

  1. Keep it civil. We're all people here. Be respectful to one another.

  2. No sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia or any other flavor of bigotry. I should not need to explain this one.

  3. Must be tumblr related. This one is kind of a given.

  4. Try not to repost anything posted within the past month. Beyond that, go for it. Not everyone is on every site all the time.

  5. No unnecessary negativity. Just because you don't like a thing doesn't mean that you need to spend the entire comment section complaining about said thing. Just downvote and move on.

I HATE STRUCTURE and I hate that it makes me live my best life and accomplish my short and long term goals 😑

This is an autism thing isn't it.

It's becoming apparent that my avoidance and denial of being autistic may have caused some problems.

I'm as neurotypical as they come and I'm this way. I'd much rather be given orders, really flourished in lower ranks in the military. When I given leadership I do well enough, but the stress is so much higher. It's just more responsibility, and less responsibility is always best responsibility.

So yeah, could be an autism thing. Could just be a thing.

Ouch, yeah get that checked out

I got diagnosed when I was 15 and spent years saying, "Obviously I'm not autistic," instead of learning how to live life autistically.

Surprise, surprise, here we are as an adult now still dealing with autism symptoms and trying to learn to cope while working full-time.

I’m ADHD with an autistic partner and it’s g l o r i o u s. He builds and maintains the structure and lets me kind of exist in and around and through and outside of it as needed.

autism with pathologic demand avoidance is great, i want and need routine but if the routine doesn't just.. happen on its own.. i feel forced into it and i can't do it.
