Ah, Texas... Not allowed to have an abortion without a permission slip that's signed by Jesus H. Christ himself and witnessed by at least 4 apostles, but now you can essentially e-file for one that's just a few years out and may only potentially be effective...

So, if you think about it, as long as you have a big enough insurance policy on them at the time it's sort of like an anti-layaway plan... Or really fucked up reverse adoption, maybe?

Either way, I feel like we should collectively take a moment to appreciate that we've somehow managed to create a system so mind-numbingly complex (complex... deranged...; potato - potahto, ya know?) that it is somehow simultaneously unable to enact/enforce even something as simple as a waiting period on gun purchases - despite the fact that you're more likely to die before the age of 18 from a gunshot wound than anything else, mind - and says you can't get an abortion whether you may medically need it or not, period... But - in an insane mash-up literally no one was asking for - There's now an extremely late-term abortion option that appears to have opened up, as long as you don't mind waiting periods, that is.
